Create a page called "What is [the keywords]?
At Wheelabrator, "shot blasting" was the term that I wanted to win on.
So I created the page:
"What is shot blasting?"
Google ranked this higher than any of our other
shot blast equipment and shot blast service pages
When creating the page, don't forget it is part of the Buying Journey.
After you've told people what it is,
make sure that you've got links for where to go next.
How do I buy [the thing]?
Even if you rank number one for that term anyway,
it's a good hack to add a What is page.
It builds credibility,
and you take more space on page one,
pushing your competitors further down.
