Jean-Marc Borello, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Groupe SOS, is Magali Forestier's guest on "On se dit Tout" (Let's Talk), on L'Hémicycle TV.
The largest social enterprise in Europe, Groupe SOS, with over 24,000 employees, has been serving the public interest for 40 years, providing "services to 2.5 million people each year," explains Jean-Marc Borello, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Groupe SOS. According to him, the group's success "is linked to the absence of strategy and vision: Rather than trying to understand and imagine what the world will become, we try to listen to it and respond to the needs that arise around us."
To address recruitment difficulties in sectors facing labor shortages, particularly healthcare, Groupe SOS launched a recruitment campaign: “We launched a national promotional campaign for our professions, created training schools, and reached out to unemployed young people to introduce them to these careers,” he explains.
Committed to environmental responsibility, Groupe SOS “measures its ecological impact and creates initiatives, one of which is the deployment of ‘Nature Brigades,’ which maintain natural spaces. And we are taking advantage of this program to train young people for jobs related to the ecological transition,” the president emphasizes.
To politicians, Jean-Marc Borello stresses the importance of “kindness, open-mindedness, and impact assessment” in advancing the common good: “Let’s learn to respect each other, whatever our differences, and to reach out to others, especially those who are different. The goal is to live better together,” he concludes.
