Is XDEFIANT GOOD? Open Beta GAMEPLAY First Thoughts & Impressions
Here are my first thoughts about the XDEFIANT Open Beta. I think this game has the potential to overtake Call of Duty if everyone would hop on the bandwagon and of course, yes, it is a beta, but it has the opportunity to be a great game upon launch.
Will this be Call of Duty's downfall? The XDefiant Open Beta released today June 20th for closed beta players and will be open to EVERYONE from June 21st-23rd. Upon launch of the game which will be this summer, there will be 14 maps, 5 factions, 5 game modes, 24 different weapons and 44 attachments. While you're here, I ask that you drop a follow, we are closing in on 50,000 tiktok followers. Not only does XDefiant have this roadmap for us, but the attention to detail and customization of the game also allows extremely high replayability and optimization. There are in-depth statistics for every gun that can even be filtered down to the statistics of a single attachment. There's a firing range where you can warm-up, an ability area to practice different abilities and ultimates, and an assault course to practice your movement that's similar to the OG MW2's spec ops missions where you run through the firing range hitting different targets. Will XDefiant fail? I don't know, that's for us as players of their game to decide. There will be a competitive aspect to the game as well so for those of you that are into that, keep an eye out for the competitive scene. I know tourneys will be run this week during the beta through twitter and ranked play will be released upon launch (I think). Directly from their blog post and I quote, "Every 3 months, the community can expect new weapons, maps, events, and a new faction" This all seems very promising and COD might finally have a competitor so they can actually care about the community. XDefiant is doing what other titles couldn't do - keep transparency with the community. What are your thoughts? I might become an XDefiant tips and tricks guy when it fully launches, who knows.
