When shooting through crystals and the other objects which I talk about in the video, my top tip would be to use a 35mm prime lens at the widest aperture available on the lens. This makes the foreground bokeh very abstract, which I much prefer. If you shoot at a narrower aperture the foreground bokeh can become too sharp.
