One of the stronger extra bosses that appear in birth by sleep final mix. This is what a TRUE secret boss should be like seeing as one hit doesn't take you down to one hp.
TIPS:
Armor Of The Master is unlocked at Arena Level 28. By then you should have Ultima Weapon (Unlocked at Arena Level 25) and Multivortex (for Ventus which is unlocked at Arena Level 20) or the Ultimate Shotlock your character can obtain (Ultima Cannon for Terra and Light Bloom for Aqua). You will need both to survive against this one.
I also recommend you have filled your HP Boost, Damage Syphon, Cure Boost, Attack Haste, Reload Boost and Defender Abilities to the max. You will also need to have Second Chance and Once More as well because he does deal a lot of damage. It's also best if you challenge him at Level 70 or Above and Level 80 or above on Critical. I haven't tried battling him on Critical Mode because this is on Proud Mode but I beat him the first time at Level 70 something. Currently, Ventus is Level 99.
My deck is comprised of 1 Time Splicer and 6 Curagas. Time splicer does come in handy sometimes but use it at your own risk. The Curagas help a lot though. Oh I also think that it would be good if you had the Reversal ability and I highly recommend Payback Raid as well.
Armor Of The Master has 2 forms. One where he is glowing green and the other where he is glowing orange and has a ring around his back. His first form (the green form) seems to be his weaker one. He is slow making it easy to land normal attacks. Even so, he can block your attacks and he also does a reversal with an extra strike at the end that will send you flying. This would be a good opportunity to use payback raid and get some of his health.
Shot-locking him at this state won't be a good idea seeing as he can block your attacks but while he is doing some of his more powerful moves, you can use Multivortex to hit him before he finishes pulling of that move.
At one point in the battle, he may bind you in chains and turn into the orange glowing form that I was talking about. He is much more dangerous here seeing as he is faster and can do that move that Sephiroth does at the beginning of the battle in KH2. If you attack him head on with normal attacks, the ring behind him can stun you leaving you defenseless. HOWEVER, this is your chance to use your Ultimate Shotlock on him because he does not seem to be able to block attacks in this state.
The rest is all dodging. Dodge, find an opening and attack that is the main strategy. DON'T DIE is one of the main points in this battle. Keep your health high and cure heaps. The reload boost will re charge your curagas in no time and you should be able to keep your health high throughout the battle.
He doesn't seem to do that move where he pulls the ground into the air as shown in the jump festa trailer.

What I said above was answered
"The Armor of the Master will only do that special ground attack from the trailer if you are using Terra. His desparation move varies depending on who's facing him: Aqua(the ragnorak move on the ground), Ven( the cyclone move), and Terra( that ground lifting attack)."
