While not a masterpiece and nowhere near as impactful as 2002's Ju-On: The Grudge, this Americanized version of Takashi Shimizu's nightmarish vision comes packaged nicely in a PG-13 rated format that lightens the gore, but doesn't skimp on the terror. Here, I give my thoughts on the film from the perspective as both a viewer as well as a filmmaker.
