I know I promised to go through the 150 Kaossilator 2 sounds in my 2nd video, but I decided to have fun first.

Username esgibtsie beat me to it with his own video (on a nice clean wooden table) showing the 150 sounds:

   • Korg Kaossilator 2 - 150 preset sound demo

COMING SOON: connecting the Kaossilator 2 with the awesome Mini Kaoss Pad 2 sound-effects processor!

In my video here, the video lagged the sound a bit, but I could get a clearer pic of the display this time. This improvised noodling is still useful to demonstrate some features during live play.

This noodling starts with CH.073 (OSCode) stored in Loop II and PT.135 (Breaks 1) stored in Loop I, at 108 bpm. I then demonstrate a little beat retriggering in each. I don't think you can retrigger both loops at the same time. Rolling your finger back and forth is more controllable than sliding it back and forth.
Then I play LD.019 (Soft Lead), slow and then arpeggiated with Type 39, then switched to Type 42. I play with shortening and lengthening the Arp Time.

Note the interesting "shuffle" effect when you slide on the Arp Swing. Click this: 2:53 .

I then add some Soft Lead to Loop I, and switch to AC.026 (Ray EP). I then stop Loop I, play more Ray EP, bring down the BPM to minimum and lead out with some Ray EP notes.

I found you can vary the tempo on the fly, but within reason. Don't go crazy like I did.

A lot of fun for $160! I love electronic music. And, as always, Embrace the Kaoss!

HALL OF FAME:

As with the original Kaossilator, I want to show some REALLY good players:

   • New KAOSSilator2 - improvisation track (ga...   (framax67 plays in the sound garden. Sound garden, get it?)

   • KAOSSilator 2  "Lounge 1 session" demo track   (and framax67 again with a cool "lounge" sound)

   • Video   (kimotominoru does it all: K2, K1, scratching, vocoder, and using the microphone recorder on the K2)

By the way, does anybody know how to make a YouTube link that will jump in the current window, not open a new one?
