Anima Protection is a Berlin-based fashion brand, founded by the Gintare and Lauryna Jankauskaite in 2018. Inspired by their grandmother, who was a designer, the sisters create upcycled fashion, deconstructing the form, material, structure, technique, and perception of what fashion is or how it should be presented to the public. The brand's collections are manufactured in Lithuania as well as handcrafted in Berlin. While choosing fabrics, both designers not only consider the look and feel of a textile but also how many resources it requires to be produced in comparison to other textiles, its composition and biodegradability. Therefore, Anima Protection mainly uses deadstock materials, materials they get donated or find secondhand.
