this is the most snow she has tried to get through yet! I don't think anything is gong to stop her other than keeping the door shut. Every morning the other birds eat grain and she's running up the mountain to her favorite spot!
The video is kid safe, but I'm not targeting children, who would? So it's not marked as such. I think we know what's really going on here. If you're a kid stay the heck away from me. I'm warning you... 🔫🔫 I'm onto you • Gorillaz - Kids With Guns (Official Video)
And if you don't like guns, well it's not nukes... and it's not a plague... we're running out of options. low tech population crisis solutions where they're least needed, and it's usually not genocide (summarily). If you try to save everyone; you end up killing everyone. I'm an anti wolf sheep dichotomy type of person, so I'm against keeping people in the dark unless it's everyone... If you fear death you haven't lived yet, sometimes life is the worse thing. Sometimes even random chance is better than superficial compassion that extends and expands suffering. Virtue signal all you want, compa$$ion is a modern precursor to a massively thoughtless low quality dead end. Please don't vote idiot either.
Anyway back to the chicken, the funny thing was when I put the straw in there, she went next to it and laid her egg in the dirt anyway (its a spacious double nest in there). I think she finds it to be too hot in the coop or just wants to be a wild bird. At least she's the only one we've caught doing this, and at least we know where the nest is. When I was a kid we found a cache of about 15 eggs in a similar brush pile, so it's not too atypical... probably not even the snow trek part.
Her breed is "speckled sussex", her sisters are dominique and "rode island red" and I'm not so sure about the few yellow ones, probably "buff leghorn"
