Applications Are Open For The Empire Code techMBA Program For Youths
Since the launch of our school in 2016, we've been able to accept any student through our doors. Our youngest so far is 2 years old, with the oldest learner at age 76. All we require is for the 2 year old to be in diapers or potty trained. Bless our teachers, they're about the most patient group of people we've ever seen in our careers.
But who would have thought that things would go that far, with a program we have now receiving such an overwhelming response, that applications are required? We're still focusing on ensuring that everyone gets an opportunity, so we're expanding resources to fill this gap. How did this happen?
What had started as an intensive training program in our education team, plus an industry attachment in our software team... became a techMBA program for youths.
Through the program, we grow mindsets that the daily school system doesn't have time to focus on.... mindsets which have been linked to long term success, namely:
1) “I trust I have what it takes to meet this challenge, regardless of what happens, I am all in, and I intend to enjoy the process.”
2) “I am good enough, I am worthy. Challenges that I am unable to solve, does not make me a failure.”
3) “I have what it takes to try again, and this time do it differently, so that I may succeed the next time. Whether the outcome is positive or not, I remain confident either way.”
4) “I can lead. I can manage relationships in a classroom or work environment.”
5) “I am ready for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, given the exponential speed in technology advancement.”
This program runs at our centre for Singapore residents, and now across ASEAN via zoom. The recommended age is 15 to 35, however we've had students as young as 13 join us.

The Empire Code techMBA program provides youths with an early start in acquiring leadership, management and industry standard technology skills. In most affluent countries, school systems do not encourage resiliency, self-acceptance, and an inherent sense of worthiness. In fact, they do just the opposite. In our techMBA program for youths, we grow mindsets that have been linked to long term success. A joint initiative between the education and software development teams of Empire Code, with the program curated by entrepreneurs and industry programmers, our techMBA program enables attendees to graduate feeling successful, confident, and technically capable. This hands-on 3 week program is suitable for ages 15 to 35, with completion certificates provided.
