My First Wand Making Tutorial! Harry Potter inspired wand making!
So, I am in an english special topics class that required we make something for a visual project (recorded tted online of course because STAY HOME!).
I decided to try tackling making a wand for the first time! Originally before the stay at home order, I planned to do a lot of the work with a bandsaw in the sculpture lab on campus but I didn't want to abandon the cool idea so I found a way to be successful with at home tools. Not as experienced weirdly to say with hand tools as I am with power tools (carpentry for large scale entertainment for years in my background) but I think for a first go I did pretty good!!
Let me know if this is something people like. My usual work was AMVs, which I do want to dive back into but school took me from it for a while so still waiting on that but I also want to do more crafts on my channel. I'm a cosplayer and a theatrically trained designer (not an expert but I have dabbled for a few years now). So doing some fun DIYs is something I really want to dive into. I enjoyed making the wand and would love trying again if I get inspired with another design idea. I also would love to try making dice trays and boxes from scratch and other nerdy things like that so if this is something people want to see I could record more maybe with actual vocal instructions next time!
