Receiver comparison between Hemes Lite 2 and SunSDR2DX. PLEASE READ Description for Setup Details.

I tried very hard to make this a level playing field. I used VAC audio as the output for each transceiver, VAC was set a 2 channels bot configured as shown in video the same way.

I used a UHF T connector to attach the same antenna to both radios at the same time. A 40 Meter inverted V

This video will require you to have STEREO speakers as to make this a fair as possible both radios will be on at the same time. using a MONO source as your listening speaker WILL NOT sperate the channels and produce the correct results of having separated the audio into Left and Right Channels from each radio.

The Hermes Lite 2 will have Audio only on your LEFT CHANNEL
The SunSDR2DX will have Audio only on your RIGHT CHANNEL

Both radios were set to use there AUTO AGC function
Since the two radios do not share the same SAMPLE rate within their software, I chose the closest possible choices HL2 @ 192000 and SunSDR2DX @ 156000, this places the HL2 at a slight disadvantage because it has more of a view and processes overall a wider RX sample rate.

Noise Blankers and Noise Reductions features were turned on and Off during the video, and frequency were varied to allow different scenarios of signal strengths and close by stations.

Again, same antennas at same time attached via a UHF T adapter- Same RX bandwidths were chosen as well (one that both software applications share was 2.7) so that was used.

Each radios software is show running on the screen at same time,

Hermes Lite 2 on your Left running Thetis Beta 5 with the Audio on the Left
Channel

SunSDR2DX on your Right running Version 3 Beta 1.0.4 with the Audio on the Right Channel

I can't think of any way I could have made this a more level playing field for both transceivers.

I did not want to use an antenna switch like many videos do in comparison, because small things can change in a split second when switching and antenna switch between radios when doing a true comparison that needs to be eliminated and Both need to have the same source at the same time! thus the UHF T connector.
