Overnight Ski Camping with a Hex Pomoly Hot Tent
It has always been a dream of mine to have the perfect base camp setup so that I can go out further into the backcountry and explore lines that not too many people go to. This is not the lightest setup for ski packing but it does get fairly warm with the stove burning.

I didn't see too many videos on YouTube with this particular tent so I wanted to highlight it to help other people out if they are interested in purchasing it. My experience with the customer service and delivery times was really positive.
I decided to go with Pomoly for now to try out the whole winter camping with a stove to see how it goes. I am still learning and my hope is to be able to take my ski touring to the next level (location and comfort wise).
I did not use stakes and I instead cut off branches from the tree to use them. I find that they work just as good or sometimes even better. For sleep I use a western mountaineering sleeping bag with an Exped sleeping pad. I also have a homemade lumbar wrap that goes on the ground.
For max comfort and warmth I made my own boot bags which I put over my booties. I find this to be a life savor.
