A bit of a smaller thing I’ve been working on for the past few days this week (that usually never happens…finishing stuff in less than a week 😳) off something I made a bit ago, a digitalized traditional comic 👀💖💕! Don’t mean this as a Christmas special just finished it up on Christmas day XD!
Never said this too well here on youtube, but I like to experiment with creature design :D✨! Last week I made a short comic amidst the late evening hours following to a song I had in my head, and featuring little critters I randomly designed on the spot and used to say the lyrics 👀! My creature (I call ‘em ‘critters’ haha) designing habits tend to include stranger design choices and may spook some peeps out, so apologies :,). I don’t mean to or want to do this, but ig I just like drawing critters with a littlleee bit of body horror sometimes 🤷. Idk weird designs are fun ^^💫✨!
Anyways don’t think it really follows one character here, it’s more like a group of pals but it can be one shapeshifting one?? I like to think of it as a group 🤔. Anyways they singin’ and stuff haha, I love them all 😭💝💖💕. Redrew them in flipaclip for the animatio, drawing over their original drawings (on a different layer) apart of the og comic inserted as a reference 👀.
Tried out a nice animation style idea with testing the ‘paintbrush/brush’ type of brush for flipaclip and enjoyed it a lot, as well as practiced what I called ‘jittering’! Aka. drawing the same frame several times (with more animated aspects of the frame I used the multiple redraws to have it be animated; ex. the tears, eye shine, and fire) to give it a nice effect ^^💖💕. I think it came out amazing and great but it was kinda annoying to do :,). Seeing these characters now animted got me attached to them…might draw a group photo later :0💝💖💕!! They all good buddies (the one at the end has fire powers ig 🤔✨) :D💝.
Also the songgg eeeee recently found it through a uh Spooky Month tiktok compilation, someone (can’t recall rn 😭) animated Kevin and Streber kissing (as it’s a canon ship in the fandom💖💕) and I happened upon it, adored the audio, and looked it up :D! It’s ‘Let You Break My Heart Again’ by Laufey and Philharmonia Orchestra, but sped up (both og and sped-up available on youtube 👀💖💕). Aacckkk it hits haarrdddd and is banger and sad 😭⭐️✨. Eee I love :)💝
‼️TLDR; I like making weird critters, and this was made with some of those guys (a group of them, not a single shapeshifting oc) :D✨. Digitalized from a traditional comic I made a little bit ago, and animated with stuff and included details I’m real proud of 😭💖💕!
