Today, we're taking a journey through the diverse landscapes of the United States, discovering the unique animals that call it home.

Starting off our countdown, we have the vibrant and vivacious Florida Scrub Jay. Endemic to the oak scrub communities of Florida, these friendly and highly social birds are the only species of bird exclusive to the state. Remember, it's important not to feed these birds to keep them wild and healthy.
Next is the charismatic Black-footed Ferret. Once thought extinct, the Black-footed Ferret was rediscovered in 1981. They’re the only ferret species native to North America and are mainly found in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana.
Moving right along, we find the fascinating Island Fox. Native to six of the eight Channel Islands off the coast of California, these tiny foxes are smaller than a house cat and have no fear of humans due to a lack of predators.
Next up, is the mighty American Bison. Once ranging across much of North America, today the American Bison is primarily found in reserves like Yellowstone National Park. These icons of the American West are the largest terrestrial animals in North America.
And taking the final spot, it's the adorable American Pika. These small, mountain-dwelling mammals live in rocky slopes of western mountains. Their round bodies, big ears, and squeaky calls make them irresistibly cute.
And there you have it! The top animals that are only found in the United States. Each of these creatures showcases the rich biodiversity of this nation.
