Accept Yourself -- Dr. Fahrudin Faiz - Studying Philosophy
Fahruddin Faiz was born in Mojokerto on August 16, 1975. He earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of Aqidah and Philosophy at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (1998), a master's degree from the Department of Religion and Philosophy at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (2001), and a doctoral degree from the Department of Islamic Studies UIN Sunan Kalijaga (2014).
In addition to being a lecturer and deputy dean at the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, recipient of the Short-Course on Research-Management, NTU Singapore (2006) and the Short-Course on Islamic-Philosophy, ICIS (International center for Islamic Studies), Qom, Iran (2007) is also a fairly active writer. Some of his works include: Qur'anic Hermeneutics: Between Text-Context and Contextualization, New Interpretation of Islamic Studies in a Multicultural Era, Human Transfiguration (Translation), Women in World Religions (Translation), Kahlil Gibran's Philosophy of Love, God Ala Philosophers ( Translation), I Ask So I Am, Handbook of Broken Heart, Treatise on Broken Hearts, Philosophers Are Humans Too, Before Philosophy, Redefining Sunan Kalijaga, The World of Philosophical Love Kahlil Gibran; and several other book titles. He is also still actively giving religious lectures, especially on philosophy themes throughout the archipelago.
