The Trunojoyo Rebellion occurred during the Islamic Mataram Kingdom, led by Amangkurat I. The rebellion was sparked by Amangkurat I's cruel, arbitrary, and failed rulership.
After his father's death, Prince Adipati Anom became the ruler of Mataram, taking the title Amangkurat II. His leadership style was similar: cruel and arbitrary.
But is all this true?... it needs to be questioned.
