"Your YouTube Channel Was Reported To Contain Several Spam Videos" WARNING DON'T REPLY TO THIS EMAIL
This morning, I received an email claiming to be from YouTube Support. This email said that my channel has received several spam complaints and that my channel was going to be reviewed, but I had to give them my account info and password. At first, I almost did it, because I was afraid of losing my account, but I got suspicious, so I looked it up. I found that is was in fact a scam. There isn't much info on it because it's fairly new, but here are a few things to point out: YouTube will likely never ask for your account information! They already have it, after all. The last time YouTube warned me of a video that got flagged, it wasn't by email. It was a clearly-visible warning on my page. Be careful! DON'T EVER SEND YOUR PASSWORD OVER THE EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
