Give your Heart (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )
Took me a few days to edit this episode. It was the longest, hardest, and most challenging video for me to ever edit ! The tears just kept coming! Watching it the second time was worst than when I first watched the episode because now I know what happened and why!
AOT is not just an anime. (つ╥﹏╥)つ
Emptiness. A void. Denial. Feeling lost. Depression.
I couldn't do a review or final thoughts on the series at the end of this video due to all the tears. I thought maybe I can do another video later when I'm feeling better, but I still cant. It's been days and I still can't talk about AOT without crying. I won't be able to hold back my emotions so will just write my final thoughts here as I am fighting back tears.
Ymir smiled when she saw Mikasa kill Eren. I guess "Love" was the final answer, the ability to stop/kill the one you loved to protect others. I was devastated that Eren's last words to Miksas was "I hate you", but thank goodness it wasn't. To kill the one you loved and that longing to see them again is so heartbreaking. Poor Mikasa.
Took me the second watch to realized that it was Historia in labor back in Paradise. The birth to a new era.
I'm thankful for Levi's reaffirmation; he made the correct choice to save Armin and not Erwin. I've waivered and even doubted his decision throughout all these chaos, but Levi never doubted himself. I'm glad he's alive and am able to live for all of his fallen comrades. Sadly, he cannot return to Paradise where the Jeagerists rule.
Zeke did killed so many people, but his end was still so sad. His last question, "is it too much to ask for..." and even he knew it was impossible...and yet, I did not want him to die anymore. When Levi was finally able to accomplish his last mission from Erwin, the satisfaction was no longer there. For some reason, I thought they'll rescue Zeke from Erwin...his death came as a surprise. Such a tragic character.
I love how we are given so many different perspectives. This was such a great story/anime/manga and it's definitely on my top ten list. I still have so many questions and will most likely dig, research, and watch clips for clarification or confirmation when I calm down.
I love the time lapse during the ending credit. Mikasa's death, the landscape changing, a modern world and still...war. I'm not sure who the boy at the end is but he was definitely wearing a similar scarf to the one Eren gave Mikasa. I wonder if we'll ever get a real answer from Hajime Isayama.
Thank you Eren, for all of your sacrifices.
See you later, Eren.
