I've only been playing for around a month or so. Do you think you could kind of talk through the process as to how you are playing the lane? I found you using the educational tag.

Yes indeed. So basically, are you playing ADC?

Well I really like that character you are using, so I think I will choose that role.

Nice, good choice. Although if you've been only playing for 1 month it will not be easy to play her, but honestly it's not easy regardless, so just play what you like to play. :)

So basically, how you're going to play lane depends on the supports mostly. So lets say you have a melee support, while the enemy has a ranged one, then you are going to go up in the level1 because unless they are doing something magical and you are playing behind the minions, then you should be able to beat them, because of the range advantage that your support has.
So the trades are going to be easier for you. You can both just shoot the melee champion and if the ADC is walking up by themselves, you can just shoot him together. So it really depends on the support matchup.
If both the supports are ranged, like for example this specific case, this game, then you are just duking it out. It also depends on what ADC you and the enemy is playing. For example if Jinx played correctly level one, then she has superior range advantage to be able to shoot the rockets she has, so she can just clear the wave faster than me. Even now, she has longer range.

Bot lane is the hardest to play I think, in terms of that it's not scripted whatsoever. Each game is kind of different, but there are some principles that can be applied to all of them, so you can categorize the matchups. That's the best way to practice, and think about that. Kai'Sa is the best usually with a melee support, for example Nautilus and Leona. I don't know if you know the name of the champions already. And all you have to do with them is not to get poked down, and just shoot them when your support manages to land something.

So at the beginning, as I said, if you're vs a ranged support when you have a melee support, then you will allow the enemy team to push the waves in under your turret, so you can get level 2 or 3, because those are the biggest spikes for the melee champions, because that's when they get all their abilities. So if you can land all your abilities on one of the ranged champions, then they are easier to kill because the ranged champions are balanced in such a way that they have less HP than the melee ones, to compensate for their ranged advantage.

Kai'Sa tips:
Use your Auto Q, it will result in good trades
Q evolve should be rushed because you will be 1.5 to 2x stronger
You are similar to Kha'Zix in that the more isolated the enemies are, the more damage you can deal since it's easier to hit your W, and more of your Q missiles hit your main target.
