Hanrongda HRD-737 Shortwave Radio Evening Scans
Taking the HanRongDa HRD-737 compact portable for a spin on the shortwave and MW bands. I show that the VHF band has 25kHz steps and no 5kHz. This can be a problem getting on frequency, but it will get you close and will work in most cases.

Overall the shortwave sensitivity impresses. The tuner goes rather quickly so you may miss some activity. Knowing what is being broadcasted and then manually tuning that spot works well. The fast tune feature and meter band switching gets you there fast. Medium wave was much better in the evening. Very usable. A fun radio that most should consider. Lots of fun in a very small package.
