Hey everyone! This is one of the projects I'm working on at the moment, which will hopefully turn into a full-on game someday.
The character you see drunkenly stumbling about is an Active Ragdoll, controlled completely within physics.
By applying a calculated amount of torque, each segment "tries" to match a certain rotation in order for the body to stand up.
Hopefully, this mechanic will provide a unique gameplay as far as combat goes.
This is actually a pretty old video, one that I just never got around to publishing until now... Since it's creation I've managed to get the sword to sever any limbs it touches (thus, Dismemberment), and sped up the physics a bit.
I'm afraid I don't have it in .exe format yet - But if you're a fellow Blenderer, have a branch of UPBGE installed, and want to experience this glorious concoction for yourself, you're in luck! Because the .blend file is all I have:
