foreign-made cars began to appear more and more frequently on domestic roads. Earning money for them through honest labor was not an option. The first cars to appear in those distant times became firmly associated with "gangster cars."
The first and only Soviet car firmly associated with gangsters was the Lada Samara.
Naturally, German cars dominated the market. The most popular models were Audi, BMW, and Mercedes, as well as Japanese and American cars.
Frame SUVs from the US and Japan were best suited for the role of "battering ram." It's no surprise that this fate was reserved for the best examples of the era – the Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and Toyota Land Cruiser 80/100.
