Roblox banned me.
Wow... How about this, very decent of Roblox to do this.
A 7-day ban is pretty extreme for this.
So I was in a game with a racist, homophobic and sexist, they were throwing racial slurs, discriminating against gay people and also asking for personal information off of me.
I of course decided to actually argue with the person, he stated "Gay people aren't normal" so I replied with "Gay people are normal"
This is 2021 A portion of the entire population is part of LGBTQ, a portion is a lot still.
As usual, Roblox just bans any user who says gay, despite the context and whether the intentions were good or bad.
Throughout the argument I was obviously annoyed at the guy's attitude, I stated "frick you" to try and end the statement and see if he would get a hold of himself.
Obviously, this abbreviation of profanity is veryyyyy offensive, I did very wrong and deserve a weeks ban. (Not really..)
From the account status, the person I was arguing with was permanently terminated and was removed from the site.
I've appealed for an unban stating who I am and what actually happens, I never thought I'd be the one with the ban message rather than laughing at a ban meme, but, here I am.
When I state I am part of the LGBTQ+ I mean I support the movement, I myself am genderfluid, I don't think anything more for now.
I'm not asking for clout.. but this needs to be addressed, it's like the chat logs were just disposed of and ignored completely.
Do you think I did the right thing?
Do I deserve this ban?
I want my ban to be revoked so I have a clean name.
Due to the game I was in having a limited chat history I couldn't screenshot the whole argument, my GeForce experience had also stopped recording on standby due to Netflix running, therefore I have little evidence of what happened other than those chat logs and my memory.
Despite these uncertainties I've gotten myself into, I will try to remain composed and have a clear view of perspectives.
