Morning on the York-Durham Heritage Railway (w/ bonus footage)
Join Toronto Rail Productions on a Saturday morning trip to Uxbridge, Ontario's own York-Durham Heritage Railway. Running from Uxbridge to Stouffville, the YDHR operates a small seasonal passenger train with an Alco RS11 along with former CP and CN passenger equipment that operates between the two towns.
On Saturday May 26th, in a rare occurrence, YDHR operated a work train that was to replace old ties along the former Grand Trunk Uxbridge Subdivision.
After hanging around the yard, a small chase from Uxbridge Station, mile 28.4 to Concession Rd. 6, a few miles west, was given.
Included in this video is extra footage shot at Quaker, mile 26.6 of CN's Bala Subdivision. Northbound intermodal train Q10531 26 meets southbound Q19051 22.
