Israeli army spokesperson denies responsibility for Rafah camp strike, says ‘devastating incident’
On Tuesday, Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari denied responsibility for a strike on Sunday at a refugee camp that set tents ablaze, killing at least 45 Palestinians, including women and children, in Rafah. According to Hagari, Israeli aircraft dropped two 17 kg bombs, claiming that these were the smallest air munitions and incapable of causing a fire of that scale.
