Anxiety tribute
Inside out was a movie that I loved when it first came out, both for it's imaginative depiction of the human psychology and for it's grounded yet engaging story. Inside out 2 took that four steps further. It might be because of things I've personally gone through, but I could really empathize with all characters in this movie. Having seen the first trailer, I knew there was going to be a new emotion in play, but the story took twists and turns that I could have never predicted. Anxiety's antagonistic role in the movie was a welcome surprise for me, and the urge to make a video about her drove me to finish said video much sooner than planned. In many ways, the second movie was better than the first, but that is just my personal opinion. I think a younger audience will identify more with the first one, while the older people watching will appreciate the second one way more.
