This is me who are cop... not, are inspired by my dear friend Kitty and her last video who are literally one of the best edits ever made in the world. And yeah, no, I'm not just inspired, I'm just a copycat there, but she loves me, so I can do it. Kitty make me discover that song some time ago, and it just become in my mind immediatly a Black Sails song. Since I'm still in a very big Black Sails mood for editing, I started it and I think I wanted to touch with this edit, more or less, all the themes of Black Sails or at least the general themes, which will perhaps give a result messed up lol. I would say, however, that the main subject of the video is the way civilization treated people and the consequences it had on their minds, especially on their desire for revenge and war, especially therefore the war that Flint and Madi wanted so much, and which was taken from them at the end. The end of the video is also bitter in the sense I want to say that, if Black Sails ends pretty well, if you look at history, you know it won't, not really. Jack and Anne are supposed to be arrested shortly thereafter and Jack ends up hanged while Anne disappears after getting pregnant (so let's imagine that she disappears with Max and the baby she will have from Jack lol), which will have spared her hanging, Woodes Rogers is arrested, yes, but he will eventually be freed and come back and ruin everything they set up in Nassau before becoming the governor again (he even has a statue of him in the Nassau of today), the series ends on a pretty positive note, which I love a lot, on a victory note, and at the same time, as the show's creators themselves put it, the end doesn't come at all at odds with the historical facts, it's like the show just ended before the real bad ending, which I guess would have happened with Jack's death and Rogers' victory, but I think I'm taking here more the real historical facts which therefore makes the end of the video a little bitter.
I'm quite happy with this video and hope you enjoy it too. Black Sails is, and always will be for me, the best show ever made and written. Even almost 6 years after its end, the passion for this show is still the same and I think it will always be so.
