This is a big and very detailed model of a launch steam engine from my collection of model steam engines.
It is 20 cm. tall from its wood base. The engine motion is transfered via bevel gears to a lower shaft: from this shaft the motion is transfered to two other shafts via spur gears. The last shaft bears the eccentric of two pumps: one is the feed water pump, the other feeds oil from the upper oil tank to the engine valve chest.
