Hello, my name is Chris Prigge, and the name of our business is Abrasive Products Solutions. We use our Kern laser for cutting a wide variety of abrasives for sanding and deburring equipment. The Kern laser allows us the flexibility of coming up with new styles and shapes of abrasives in a very short period of time. In the matter of an hour, as opposed to weeks, previously having to use dies. And the cost of manufacturing dies for cutting the abrasives.
We found the Kern laser at the Fabtech show in Chicago two years ago. All the laser manufacturers were onsite, so it was very nice to compare quality and price together all at the same venue. And I felt that Kern could not be beat.
I’ve been nothing but happy with their service. We did have one issue with a lens that broke, and they had us a replacement lens within one day.
I have nothing but good things to say about the company. The people there are tremendous to work with. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. If you have any questions, you call them up and they have answers for you immediately. It’s not “I’ll call you back tomorrow or next week.” They’re on top of it right away.
Obviously, when the laser’s running, we should be making money. When we’re not cutting abrasives, everybody I know that knows I have a laser has something else they want engraved or cut. We’re doing wedding and engagement materials, bread boards, we’re doing parts for airplanes. We’re doing such a wide variety of items that it’s just tremendous. It’s just everyday someone else calls and wants something else either cut or engraved.
So, again, Kern Laser as far as price goes I don’t think you can beat it. The small shop. The cost. It’s not overwhelming. I can’t say enough good things about Kern Laser. I hope you take a look at them. Thank you.
