This question came in my email last night. Because this is a current situation for her, which she may not want public just yet, let's call her "Katherine".
"I have a question on being represented by two agencies, as I know that you have experience with this. I am currently represented by one which I have been with for almost a year, but I am struggling to develop a relationship with my agent and pull in work. … While there is nothing within my contract that would indicate that it is not an option to seek representation aside from the agency I am currently working with, I am wondering how to approach a second agency with my current affiliation with another. Would it be viewed as a positive asset and confirmation of professionalism, or as a concern?"
