Shropshire Bookfest gives some great ideas on how to start thinking about editing your story. This resource supports teachers and pupils in primary schools across Shropshire taking part part in Readers to Writers 2025.
Readers to Writers is a biennial creative writing initiative for KS1 and KS2 pupils. The project takes place between January and May and includes bespoke creative writing workshops in every school and classroom by leading children's authors. With support from their author-mentor and their teachers, children journey towards becoming authors themselves by writing their very own book. These books are then entered into a county-wide creative writing competition. The books that 'wow' the Bookfest Reading Panel the most will be published as flipbooks on the Shropshire Bookfest website.
