Restoration of an old axe

Here on the Easy-Iron Channel, I describe life as a homeowner and DIY enthusiast. Or, in modern parlance, a maker. In a home, you have to repair, adapt, renovate, or even reinvent things here and there. Or work from instructions. Mrs. X always has great ideas... that the DIYer has to implement. "Honey, the others..." or "Honey, I read on the internet..." These sentences mean work. But usually also fun. Anyway, I'm not all thumbs, so let's get to work, unfold the ironing board, and get going.
And you're usually there with me! Sometimes I think afterward, "I should have set up a camera..."
Axe/Hatchet with Sappie
In this video, we'll restore an old hatchet together and give it a little makeover. This way, you can save yourself a tool in the woods. I have a few of these things lying around. I don't know if we ever had a blacksmith in the family?!? But through inheriting tools from several households—grandpa, dad, uncle—and some purchases I made myself, my selection of this tool group has grown considerably. But: "It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."
Following the current trend, I also want to get my firewood from the forest. Therefore, I'm upgrading my firewood tools a bit.
My old "forest moped" seems to have given up the ghost. The fuel lines are porous, and there are a few other problems. Among other things, the chain brake has failed. It's also a "DIY store saw" from 2005 and spends most of its time in the cupboard. It's a black 2115. But if you read more closely, it's an Electrolux. Electrolux is Husqvarna's budget brand. It also seems to be identical to the McCulloch 438. We'll see. I've just shoved the whole lot back into the cupboard for now. I don't need the space yet.
I already ordered a new moped last year. This time, a Stihl. Everyone raves about Stihl. Let's see if it can handle the wood on its own. But like everything else at the moment, they seem to be in short supply.
Then, of course, I want to get my chainsaw license so I can operate the "forest moped" in public. But those courses seem to be booked up until the cows come home. I also have to build a wood storage shed. More on that later.

How do I put the videos together for you?
I use an iPhone with a tripod and the "Camera" or "FiLMic Pro" apps.
I send the data via Wi-Fi to a Mac mini and process it on a MacBook Pro in iMovie. The theme song is cobbled together in GarageBand, and the overlays are created in Keynote and added using a green screen. (I keep getting copyright infringement warnings for the theme song. So, pros also use the GarageBand templates ;-) and some know just as little about music as I do.)
