Niflheim 100% (My First Extreme Demon !) by Vismuth | Geometry Dash
Here it is. My first Extreme. Over 5 years since I started playing the game (mid 2.0), and here we are. I'm genuinely out of words at this point, I can't believe I actually beat this level
I'm not gonna say I never thought I would beat an extreme, that would be a lie. I always knew I would eventually beat one (I was ambitious lol), but at the rate I was (not) progressing over the first 4 years, I thought it would take me much longer... That's the unexpected part.
Now, onto the level itself. First of all, I LOVE IT. It's so fun to play, the decoration is absolutely stellar for the time, and even holds up today. Definitely in my Top 5 favorite levels. I doubt I'll ever like an Extreme as much as this one, the bar is super high
As for my experience, It was pretty frustrating at first, when I couldn't get anywhere at the drop, and with how hard the ball part was. But eventually I got more consistent, it felt more doable (the ball part was still pretty RNG) and that's when I got to the drop for the first time.
But today, (yesterday when this vid premieres) I don't what happened, something must have clicked in my brain, but I was insanely consistent. Not just the drop, not just the first half, the entire level. I knew I was going to beat it that day, so I grinded the level for 2 hours straight (it's not much, I know, but I've never done that before), in a call with Nerox (go sub to him btw).
During this session, I got to the drop a grand total of 46 TIMES (including my 87% death). I even got there 5 times in a row (with a few in-between attempts where I died at like 2%, but it doesn't matter), like... how
I eventually beat the level a few hours later, after 30 minutes (and 7 drop attempts). What a day.
