Mass Effect: Vigil

Love "Vigil" by Jack Wall! This is one of the best themes in Mass Effect. I think that the lead instrument in "Vigil" is a duduk (but I'm not 100% sure). Jack Wall noted that he used some duduk in some of Mass Effect's tracks.
I remember when the Halo games were a huge deal. Now, Mass Effect is the big deal game. A lot of the hit games we hear about are action franchises: ex. Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Star Wars: 1313, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Lost Planet 3, Metal Gear Solid, Need for Speed: The Run, etc. Maybe Angry Birds is an exception. Bioware makes great games like Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes, Dragon Age II, Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, Mass Effect 3 Leviathan, Neverwinter Nights, and Command & Conquer: Generals 2.
I like the Mass Effect 1 soundtrack the best. The Mass Effect 3 soundtrack is only ok for me. Clint Mansell didn't do many songs for Mass Effect 3's soundtrack. Sam Hulick isn't bad - I liked what he did with Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad.
