Good evening,
On July 7, 2022, I published a FNF mod on my channel called "Five Night Freddy", which took several months to make. It was a huge flop : the video was ranked 9 out of 10 in terms of views on my last 10 videos, and there were a total of 597 downloads at the time i'm writing this description on GameJolt and Gamebanana combined. I was expecting this result, since the music was copyrighted, so there was no monetization and in the end, YouTube did not recommend my video to the public. After this other flop, I questioned myself for a while. I thought for 2 or 3 days about what I was going to do next on YouTube. After thinking about it, here's my conclusion : i should stop making videos that no one cares about. I can understand some people's frustration, having to wait months, only to have a video on a topic they don't care about. Also, some people don't care about some content and prefer others, there is no problem with that. But where is my identity if I make a lot of content that is very different from each other? I had to find the perfect balance between what I like to do and what people want to see. I sorted out what I like to do, to see what I could present in video. Gaming videos? YouTube is saturated with them. Video game creation videos? Too annoying to set up. Funny montages? Too much effort for few results. 3d animations with the endoskeletons? I find it a bit cringe. Drawing animations? Oh well... I think it's fun, the French YouTube is not saturated with this kind of videos and it's quite easy to do (easy doesn't mean short to make). So I tried to make my very first animation, story time style on Clash Royale. I first started by writing a script for my video, something I never did before, and then I drew, a lot, to finally make this video, hoping that people will like it and that it will blow up ! If I only make drawing animations, not only I will attract a larger audience but also people will have a reason to subscribe to my channel, since they will know what they are waiting for (my theory).
Well, thank you for reading this far. If you want you can leave a comment on this video, I will read it with joy :D
I'm thinking of continuing 2d animation for the future of the channel since i like this occupation a lot. I think that the video consistecy will certainly decrease a lot (because animation takes a lot of time), but it's the price to pay for a quality content that people will appreciate
That's about it. Have a nice day !
