DIY Shed Part 1: Floor and Supports
First off I want to say thank you for tuning in and supporting me and what I am doing. I do really enjoy making these videos and have a lot of fun doing these projects. Hope that some of these things I show you help you with whatever projects that you have.
In the first part of this series of building a custom DIY shed I started with raking and evening out the gravel pad that its going to sit on. which is easy enough there were really just a few high spots that needed to be smoothed out. Once that was done went in and cut all the floor joists to length and proceeded to return to Lowes twice because I underestimated a few things. Well that is the price of doing things yourself you realize that even though you plan you still forget things.
Once I finally had everything that I needed I went ahead and started putting everything together. The joist hangers really were a big help with keeping everything aligned and situated properly. That would be one of those things that I would definitely tell you to get to make things that much easier. After all of the joists were hung and secure the plywood floor was probably the easiest part of the whole thing. lay it down, align everything, and secure it to the joists.
