Surprise Wedding Beach Proposal - Meiting & Shunxiong
So, here's how the story went.
Before we left Singapore for Maldives, my friend who was traveling with me told me that he is planning to propose to his girlfriend in Maldives. He even set up a group chat to discuss with us the plan and told us what roles we had on the day of his proposal.
Fast forward to the day of his proposal, the guys told Esther & I to go to his room to get his girlfriend to watch this DVD montage that he did for her and the guys will be at the beach setting up for the proposal. But when I went into the room, Janice(the girlfriend), told me to sit down instead. And I went like "noooo.. whoa, you sit down! Not me", and she was like "No, you sit down". And I was like "wtf???" and then my friend, Esther, pressed the play button on the laptop and I saw my face appear on the screen and I went like "SO IS THIS MY PROPOSAL?!!"
I was in disbelief even as I sat down and watch the video. It was a video made up of our pictures as well as songs that held special meaning to us. I couldn't hold back my tears and just cried like a baby. I was so so touched. Because, I WAS TOTALLY CLUELESS.
I was still in shock and disbelief as I made my way out of the villa and as I walked down to the beach to find SX standing there holding a bouquet of roses. Oh my heart, it was just filled with so much love.
I couldn't even register much of the words he was telling me before he went down on one knee. I know it was along the line of thanking me for the past 7 years+ in our relationship and how he wants me to spend the rest of our lives together and how he will do his best to make me happy.
Everything was happening too fast for me. It was kinda overwhelming but I know that I was happy. I wouldn't want it to happen any other way. It was perfect. :)
