What is the GVRP function of a switch?
Hello everyone, today I will introduce the section 3.4.3 of the switch user manual, GVRP settings in the "V lan function" of the AVCOMM switch. GVRP is a network protocol that simplifies the V lan configuration process, allowing V lan information to be automatically transmitted between switches in the network without the need for manual configuration.
For example; When you connect a switch that supports GVRP to a port on another switch, the GVRP protocol will automatically notify the connected switch, so you don't need to manually configure each switch’s ports. The GVRP protocol will automatically allow these switches to share V lan ainformation.
