How to Open Links in a New Tab in WordPress Visual and Text Editor
This works for those that are using the Classic Editor, not Gutenberg.

To make a link open in a new tab in WordPress Visual editor:
1. Select the text you want to be linked;
2. Click the "Insert/edit link" icon;
3. Click the "Link options" icon;
4. In the pop-up window, add your link, check the "Open link in a new tab" box, and press "Add Link".
To make a link open in a new tab in WordPress Text editor:
1. Press the "link" button;
2. Repeat step 4 that's above.
