I recently upgraded my camera case to the Pelican 1535 Air and was looking for a way to attach my tripod to the case for easy carrying when traveling and this is what I came up with. I considered a number of different ideas one being attaching hook and loop straps to the case but it was going to be too hard or harder than it was to drill two small holes into the bottom of the case to attach a hook so it is able to strap a tripod to the case from two points using elastic rope.
If you have used another method that worked better than the one I used please feel free to share as I've love to know if there is a simpler and cheaper solution to this issue facing photographers when traveling.
I have also reinforced the tripod with another bungee cable around the entire case and tripod and you could use that method, there are definitely more than one way to strap a tripod to a pelican case.
