Black Bear Pass July 2022
I always wanted to go over this pass and I finally did it. There were a couple other Jeeps on the trail but mostly I did it solo. My 2021 Jeep Wrangler made this an easy drive. There are some steep cliffs but the road isn't too narrow, and the tight switchbacks are easy to get around.
I heard this trail takes about 5 hours but I did it in less than 2 including lots of photo stops. I am not sure what makes it a moderately hard trail other than the proximity to the cliffs, but it is easy enough to navigate those 'scary' areas and make quick qork of them.
