Software and Quality Engineering – is it a thing?
I keep hearing people use the word engineering when they talk about software, but like Montoya I think “I do not think you know what that word means”. People like to talk about software engineering and quality engineering and feedback loops, but ultimately, they all seem to just be preaching testing. More testing, better testing, earlier testing. But not anything about real engineering – building something properly in the first place. Ugh.
