Today at PAX East, Blizzard announced that they have had a fifth team working on another game. Comprised of fifteen developers, the idea was to make a great game that got back to Blizzard's roots by having something fun and less serious.
The game is called Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and it is an online trading card game. The official website is now live and so are the beta sign-ups. You can also follow them on Twitter at @PlayHearthstone and on Facebook.
Hearthstone is "a charming collective strategy card game set in the Warcraft universe." You can play as nine different mighty heroes with different focuses. There will be commons, rares, epics, and even legendary cards. It will be free-to-play with optional purchases for cards; there's also something called a crafting system, where you will be able to change your cards by disenchanting them into arcane dust which will let you build other cards.
