This is a large swamp discovered by SCP Foundation personnel around 1972. The swamp is located in the southern region of Thailand, although the name of the province has not been disclosed.
It is a large freshwater swamp with a muddy bottom. It has no connection to a river or sea. At low tide, a winding path in the center is revealed, approximately 100 meters long.
SCP-020-TH's anomalous properties occur at night, from 9 PM to 5 AM, during high tide. A faint white mist appears to cover the entire swamp and its depth.
The depth changes from a few meters at normal times to an infinite depth. Then, rotting bodies and human skeletons appear floating above the water. Anyone who approaches the swamp
will feel hypnotized, hearing strange sounds, such as cries of "Help!! Help!!" This compelled them to investigate. The swamp then swallows the person, causing them to drown. After seven days, the body slowly floats back to the surface.
The autopsy revealed that the body appeared to be a typical drowned person. However, a closer examination revealed fingerprints on the person's arms and legs, suggesting someone had grabbed and dragged them into the water.
The locals are well aware of the swamp's reputation as a haunted place, claiming the lives of hundreds of people from the past to the present. SCP-020-TH, the "Suck-Up Swamp," has been cordoned off by the Foundation with a high, secure fence, and daily ground and air patrols.
