I used to be a security systems designer on the M11 highway, but, frankly, I was terrible at designing. My main benefit in the office was changing the water in the cooler. However, everything changed when I tried myself as a teacher.
In 2014, I started teaching AutoCAD at the Moscow educational center “Education and Career”. This was my first real calling - a job that I loved. The students were delighted with my classes, and the school administrator regularly passed on their warm reviews. But after three years, I faced professional burnout. Seeing teachers who had been teaching the same material for decades for 270 rubles per academic hour, I realized that if I didn’t change my approach, my fate would be the same.
And then I decided to take a risk — I recorded my first online course “AutoCAD in 5 days”. This was a turning point. Thanks to online learning, I not only brought back the passion for teaching, but also reached a new level. Now I could help more people by automating the process. A separate chapter of my story is Ponchik. He was my colleague who taught Photoshop. His passion for big taste during lunch breaks still makes me smile. But let's get back to me. At some point, I spontaneously recorded an hour-long lesson on the ArchiCAD program. This video got almost 480 thousand views and 14 thousand likes. That's how I became a YouTuber, and my channel "Anton Mekhovich" has collected more than 2 million views.
Teaching is something that is in my blood. My grandmother taught piano for more than 40 years, my mother taught art. And having seen from the inside how difficult the work of a teacher is, I realized how important it is to give teachers a chance not only to teach, but also to scale their knowledge.
