ghibli stylized animation from video - comparison using Stable Diffusion / OpenPose & ControlNet
This generative animation study show two example renderings, using a pretty straightforward img2img pipeline from raw casual video footage with and without the use of Openpose/ControlNet.
Creating consistent animation frame sequences of character or body motion seems to be currently best achieved through concise raw video material. This means clear shots of the body and props to use img2img piplines with as low as possible denoising strength.
