The Minimally Invasive Facelift
ASAPS member, Christine Hamori, MD from Duxbury, MA describes the Silhouette Lift, a minimally invasive option for patients wanting to recontour the face without more invasive surgery. This sterile procedure is an effective minimally-invasive alternative to the traditional facelift. Dr. Hamori notes, “The Silhouette Lift can be enhanced with small amounts of filler that provide patients with both lift and volume within a short amount of time.”
This procedure uses a dissolvable, absorbable suture with absorbable cones to provide physical lifting without the need for more invasive surgical intervention. It requires a local anesthetic and approximately 45 minutes to complete. Some swelling or bruising can be expected, but patients can return to work the next day. Results generally last for an average of 12 -18 months.
