Quand la justice dérange : Le Pen et Sarkozy ne sont plus intouchables
On Monday, March 31, the Paris court delivered a resounding verdict: Marine Le Pen was sentenced to four years in prison, two of which were to be served under electronic monitoring, as well as a €100,000 fine and five years of ineligibility, effective immediately. This decision immediately sparked outrage within the ranks of the National Rally, as well as within the right and far right, denouncing a supposedly political decision.
Yet, the courts have ruled. The same right, which regularly demands implacable justice, systematically calls it into question when it affects its leading figures.
