DIY: How to Make a Sealed Subwoofer Box [COMPLETE STEP BY STEP]
Unhappy with the bass from the original plastic box [00:00:20]? In this DIY project, I show you step-by-step how to build a sealed MDF speaker box for your car subwoofer, aiming for much higher quality!

I start by showing the project in 3D [00:00:39] and the measurements for the cuts [00:00:57]. I explain the importance of calculating the correct internal volume (following the sub's manual, 12 liters [00:02:08]) for optimal performance.
Then, it's time to get to work: I cut the MDF [00:06:34], assemble the structure with glue and screws [00:07:01], sand it [00:07:15] and, most importantly, ensure complete sealing using putty [00:08:03] and then hot glue inside [00:19:12].
I solder a thicker wire to the speaker [00:14:15]. For the finishing touch, since the MDF wasn't perfect, I opted to cover it with fabric [00:12:35], applying it with glue [00:16:22] and making the cutout for the subwoofer [00:18:44].
Finally, I'll show the installation in the trunk with brackets and Velcro [00:20:10], compare the sound BEFORE and AFTER [00:22:34], and present the total cost of the project [00:23:14].
